Sanctuary – New Design

There was a time where I had a little *hut* in the backyard that I deemed my sanctuary.  It was wonderful, and such a peaceful place.  It may have only been a gazebo with decoration, but it was truly my solitude.

I would meditate quite well in the sanctuary, my little private space, especially at night.

With chairs so comfy, a rug to sit on and candles galore – I even covered the outside with bamboo *fencing* for privacy.

Ah, it was truly special.

Then…

The wind blew her away.  Maybe only 10 feet or so, but it destroyed the weak metal supporting my sanctuary and broke most everything inside.

It was secured by hand weights.  25lbs in 2 corners opposing each other, and 10lb in the other 2 corners to keep it from toppling.  OR so I thought.

With the wind’s might – the amount of weight on the four corners were no match.  As quick as a moment, my sanctuary was utterly destroyed.

So, next – a new sanctuary.  Sturdier and built by my husband and I.

I’ve even drawn plans of my little *get away* in the back.

It’s funny how much I’m looking forward to it.

Here’s my ever so creative drawing:

Oh this should be fun… 🙂

  3. @Titania: Thank you sweetie for your heartfelt *oops*. You should have seen my face. LOL There is a rope there holding onto the gazebo (wood one with the spa) so that it didn’t end up in the neighbor’s yard! LOL alas… Sokay, it just means another one was meant to be. That corner was really where I wanted it anyway. 🙂
