New Theme and Update on Mon

Whoot! A New Theme!
I had fun creating this one.
Hope you enjoy. I should keep it for a bit.
I get so bored off of the look of my site. My humblest apologies.
So – the whole house other than my Marine kid is sick. I wasn’t up until tonight and I’m feeling it sneak on!
Work is work – it’s tax season so it’s busy as all get out for those of us that tote calculators. I’m hoping I can get everyone taken care of in time!
I contacted the local Blue Star Mothers of America chapter and I’m pretty excited about going to their meeting tomorrow. I’m excited to assist in service. They volunteer quite a bit locally with the vets, wounded soldier’s and families of military personnel. Since a part of my heart is in the Marines and a part of my heart is in the Army – well, it will feel good to give to those that serve. They’ve given quite a bit themselves.
Let me know if you like the theme! It was done with Artisteer and a bit of Photoshop and Digital Scrapbook *stuff*. It was kinda fun!
Okay – time for me to go night night all.
Rest well. I can’t wait for spring…..

A Song I Heard
My Site is Ugly
Oh I do not like how my site looks. Since I’ve had this site, I swear I’ve wanted to make it look more like how I feel. It’s really generic.
Off to find something fun!
Bleck.
My Company – Zy Consulting
So, I’ve been workin’ on my company’s website AND location this past few days.
First, my website: www.zyconsulting.com let me know what you think! I’m going to start networking, joining the chamber of commerce, advertising etc. and I thought I’d better have a website! It’s a company site runnin’ on Wordpress. Hey, it works!
So, next is another super UBER excitement – I am leasing an office for my company! No more home office for me. My husband and I shared an office in a local city until I had a seizure and they took my license. argh – but I’ve been driving now since February and no issues, so it’s time to move into my own office and look professional.
Meanwhile, I got the lease tonight and read through – ’cause that’s what I do. I read legal docs… I’m an accountant, what can I say?
Low and behold, on line 12 -

I emailed back and said I would look at it in the morning, but that #12 caught my eye and gave me a good laugh.
Herumph.
The landlord is actually leasing me an office in his own building. They are a mortgage firm and well, they have an extra office. He’s a kick. Great sense of humor as you can see!
If you do check out my company’s site let me know what you think!
Love and Light,
Monica
Thursday – Graphics Tip – Colors
Have you ever looked at a photo, graphic, image and wish you could get the color information so you could use it again?
For instance, the graphic (one of) header I have has a group of colors that I enjoy and I continue to use. How do you find it? There are numerous ways on the web to get this information, I’m going to give you just one at this moment.
Pic2Color is a site that is currently in Beta (that’s what it says) and gives you the ability to find colors that match/or closely match that of a photo, grouping of colors, or even a website (not available yet).
You can even get their widget and have it on your own site, which I’ve done under the “Web Stuff” page for you to use anytime you wish.
Here’s an example of what it can do. I used one of my own banners and entered the URL into the widget. When it translated the information into colors (HEX) I made a print screen of it. This is only to show you what information it gives off of a URL to a photo. You can test it yourself to see what it does. You click on each color and it will translate the color into HEX for you. The information (bubbles, printscreen etc.) was done by me for you to see what information I can get form it. I use “SnagIt” screen capture software ~ and can’t live without it btw.
This is most certainly not a paid ad. I’ve gotten emails regarding color schemes as of late, and I thought this might be useful to those playin’ around with designs.
Have fun!
