Week of Fun

Okay, this whole stop smoking thing is bizzare.  I made it 5 days, then smoked one day, then stopped one day then smoking today.

ARGH!

Fer cryin’ out loud.  I’m teaching myself that *I* control the habit.  The habit doesn’t control me.  For me, this seems to be working pretty well.  Each time I smoke I get sick – perfect!  Blech.

So, on to other info, I’m going to Utah next week for training – It’s Impact Trainings LMT 1.  I’ve been through their other trainings:

I always feel so good coming home from these trainings.  Utah is so pretty!  Trouble is, they say it may snow.  This Californian has officially never driven in snow.  Good luck Utah folks!  Steer clear of me!  I’ll be the one slidin’ sideways down the highway yellin’ Yeee Haaaaw!  ;)

Here’s a few pics from Utah I’ve taken:

Enjoy!

Where In The World Is Monica?

I’m still alive!  All is well!

I talked last week about my company and I have to say it’s taken over this whole week!

Dawn's Wedding - Dawn, Daniel J and Marissa

Dawn & Kids - Dawn's Wedding

Last weekend was awesome – I had a heart to heart with my step-son.  I felt like we had a bit of a wedge growing between us.  We did, as it turns out, and after talking to the little man, we are good to go.  The photo above is of my best friend Dawn (at her wedding ofcourse), my step-son Daniel and the little princess in the back is Marissa, Dawn’s Daughter.  Handsome guy huh?

One thing about my step-son he is extremely *empathic*.  He senses folks feelings – and I mean in a big way!  Trouble is, he can’t read me.  That makes him a bit nervous around me.  He said this, not me.  He’s very articulate!  I love that kid so flippin’ much.  I have a way of blocking my feelings from folks, it’s habitual.  I just didn’t mean to do it with him.  We had a great talk and I get to work on it – and he gets to work on talking about it when things bother him.  ;)

But the whole rest of the week has been taken up by my business.  I went to that Networking group (wow, awesome group of professionals!), new clients, issues with a client’s QuickBooks file (argh!) and going through my certification for QuickBooks.

The certification is about 20 hours long.  It’s in depth and difficult at times, but it’s perfect to freshen up and let others know I know what I’m doin!  ;)

QuickBooks Certified Pro-Advisor

Full week, I’m not done with my certification yet – I’ll be workin’ on that all weekend.

I will be working on the certification through Sunday.  My husband is gone this weekend to Utah for training at Impact Trainings (he is currently in Life Mastery Training 2) and I will be going in the next few weeks (finally! – Life Mastery Training 1).  If you are interested – it’s www.impacttrainings.com.

No hubby ’till Sunday!  … I couldn’t sleep last night ’cause he wasn’t in bed … :(

OH!  The foundation has been set on my Sanctuary!  I’m totally excited!  Here’s some pics!  Groundwork – it’s a 10×10 with 5′ entrance.  I designed it myself! As soon as it’s finished I can add my plants, fountain, etc.  Whoot!

The builder will be back this Saturday to put up the walls and set for the roof, or however that goes.

Love and Light folks, wish me luck on my Certification testing!

Here’s Indy – he sleeps on his back with his legs up, he’s such a GOOF!

Daniel in the Fountain

I took this in Utah in August.  Daniel climbed into this huge water fountain and got cold as well.  Thought I’d take a pic.  Sometimes energies and water mix quite well.  :) WaterDaniel.jpg

Def Leppard / Styx / Foreigner Concert!

Tomorrow we are off to see three of my total 80s favorite bands!  Whoo Hooo!  They are playing at the Usana Amphitheatre in Utah.  We’ll be hanging out with friends out on the "green".  Rock on!

Love and Healing Light to everyone!

Hello From Utah

We’ve had a very full few weeks it seems.  We graduated from our Impact Trainings Lift Off training and that was a blast!  This week we are at their Couples and Commitment training.  Sounds great!

We are in Coalville, UT and it’s absolutely beautiful.  We came in driving from Salt Lake and there was a gorgeous lightning storm as we were coming through.

I wanted to take a moment to tell you all hello, and I’ll be blogging soon.

Love and Light!

Back In Town – Home from Utah

First – Happy Mother’s Day to the Momma’s out there.  :)   And to those in the position of mother for anyone.

2nd – You read that right… Utah.  My husband and I went to Qwest Training (Impact Training, Utah).  We were there May 9th through the 12th and came home on the 13th.

I’ll share a tidbit of my experience to you:  OH MY GOODNESS!  It was without a doubt – the most amazing training I have received to date in my life.

To Date you ask?  Why yes…. because I’m going on to the 2nd training next week called Summit.  And from what I hear it will give me even more to learn.

Because my experience was of a personal nature I won’t go into details… ;)   Suffice it to say, I’m looking at my life in a wonderful way.

I deserved it.

Night Night and Love and Light,

Teen Quest – Impact Trainings

The kids are home finally.  At least I think these are my kids.  Just kidding on that one, except – there is a bit of a change in them.

I mentioned earlier in my posts that my kids went to Utah.  They went there not for the Church of Latter Day Saints, but for a non-religious reason.  I have a friend, my bestest friend (I know, incorrect grammar) that has gone through a life experience of sorts.  She did trainings in Utah with a place called Impact Trainings.  My boys just went to the teen version this past Thursday through Saturday.

The trainings are personal, so there isn’t a story here to give you.  Other than, the link I included under references to the description of Teen Quest.  There are children that have participated in this from all over.  In the adult trainings, I’ve heard there are folks from all over the world that have attended.

I am going to the adult version in May.  I am eager to see what the training will assist me with – within myself.  As for my boys, the stories of what they got from the experience is amazing.  Again, it’s all personal so I can’t go into it… but, from a mom’s point of view, it’s pretty eye opening.

Thanks to the trainers at Impact Training for taking the time.  It’s appreciated here in California.

Love and Light,

A Happy Mom That Appreciates the Noise in the House

Wait, It’s Too Quiet

I’m sitting here contemplating why I feel so weird.  Really weird!  And I start to realize it’s flipping quiet in this house other than my Sammy Dog (Black/Chocolate Lab Mutt) chewing on his nyla-bone (er however you write that goofy word).  A bone okay?  He’s chewing on a bone and it’s driving me nuts because there is NO OTHER NOISE IN THE HOUSE!

Excuse me.

Ahem.

Sorry to lose a bit of control there, but there isn’t any noise other than Sammy’s relentless chewing and my husband talking about buying the BMW across the street for the boys.

So, what’s missing…..

That sweet sound of "Oh Yeah Right" or "Oh Wow!  Come On" or "Lost the Lead" or "Flag Taken" (name that video game) or the laughter of MY SONS!

Yup, they are gone.  We dropped them off tonight at my best friend Dawn’s.  They aren’t coming back until Sunday night.  Why you ask?

They went to Utah.

What’s in Utah you ask?

Well, besides the Church of Latter Day Saints, there is a reason they are going.  But I’m gonna hold off on explaining that until the little guys get home.  ;)

None the less……… my boys are not going to be yelling and screaming here for a few nights.

::sigh::

I miss my babies.

G’Night.  I’m gonna go outside with Sammy and look at the stars for awhile.

Much love,

Mon
