Well, there are times when I digress… this is one of them.

I’m an avid Heroe’s fan.  My son James and I started by watching all episodes of Season 1, then Season 2 and then ofcourse – Season 3, which just ended with this past Monday’s episode.

I have to say I totally enjoy it.  Regular people with extraordinary powers.  What a blast.  Season 4 is going to come out Feburary 2nd.  I cannot wait!

My son’s most FAVORITE character is Clair – the Cheerleader.  Oh yeah.  He’s in love.  Here’s a pic of my son’s dream love:

My favorite?  Oh it’s a bit scary, but it’s Sylar the creepy guy:

Yes, I love the creepy dark and handsome guys.  My hubby however, is completely the light bright sweet guy – well, he has his creepy side – don’t we all? 

For Daniel and I – well, since he moved in – um, 2005 – I’ve slowly been converting him to a Sci-Fi Freak, I mean – fan.  So far the conversion of Hubby to Trekkie is working very well.

Each night we watch one or two episodes IN BED (yes, I actually have a flipping TV in my room – argh).  First, I decided to take him through the time of Star Trek.  The first one we watched was ALL Star Trek: Enterprise series.  Yes, we own all of them.

Then we watched Star Trek Next Generation (yes, we skipped the old Kirk one, we’ve both seen it) – and yes, we own all seasons!    Then Star Trek Deep Space Nine, then we watched Star Trek Voyager.  We own all of those series too!

Then onto Battlestar Galactica Seasons 1-3 and we are anxiously awaiting Season 4!  Whoot!

Ahhhh….. the life of Sci Fi!

Ofcourse another love of mine is Paranormal.  So, had to start on Season 1 of Ghost Whisperer!

Great series.  I love the feel good TV ya know?  She assists earth bound ghosties in crossing over.  I love the sentimental part of this, and Daniel seems to enjoy as well.  Shhhh, don’t tell his guy friends. OH – that’s right, he loves it because of the hottie in this, Melinda (Jennifer Love Hewitt).  I can’t say I blame him.

Daniel and I enjoy so much going to the Star Trek Experience at the Hilton in Las Vegas………. we go to the convention there, and well……….. I’m heart broken.  Yes, laugh all you want……… ::sniff::  It’s it’s………..

ahem

Apparently Hilton in Las Vegas is closing the Star Trek Experience.  The nerve.  What are they THINKING?!

D and I first went there Feb of 2005 for our birthdays.

::sigh::

Well, at least we’ll be there before it flippin’ closes.  Yes, I’m distraught.

We are going to the convention in August of this year…….

Oh goodness, I’m gonna cry.

Oh Fer Crying Out Loud ~ These are Fun!

Devilish Southern Belle has this up on her blog last Friday and I thought it was neat. So here’s mine. She did say it makes you think, and she’s not kidding. So, your turn. Please comment back and let me know you’ve done it too! I’d love to read about others!
1. If you had to choose one vice in exclusion of all others what would it be? My Starbucks, Venti Iced-Chai tea.

2. If you could change one specific thing about the world what would it be? Well, I’d like to go to the Star Trek kinda earth. The one that is in existance in the time of Star Trek The Next Generation. It’s Utopian. So no $$$ just that you work and you get stuff from the replicators. So you want food, you have food. You want a house, you have a house. No one is poor, no one is hungry. Well, there is a bit of worry about the Borgs and the Dominion taking over but hey, we have starships to take care of it.

Ack! I’m a trekkie, it’s out.
3. Name the cartoon character you identify with the most.
According to my daughter, it’s the roadrunner on too much caffeine. According to my husband it’s Tasmanian Devil. My son says “Goofy”. I’d have to say “Grumpy” from Disney’s Snow White. hee hee Maybe a bit of all of them. But since it’s asking for one… it’s RoadTasOofyGrump-alicious.

4. If you could live one day in your life over again which one would it be?
There was a day a long time ago, when me and my “baby” brother were out all day on a warm summer day riding our bicycles. We road around the downtown area and when it was almost dinner we had hit the creek by where we lived. It was warm all day and we laughed most of the time doing who knows what. All I remember was playing until dinner time with him. It is a great memory.

5. If you could go back in history and spend a day with one person who would it be? I’d like to spend a day with my mother when she was um… 8.

6. What is the one thing you lost, sold or threw away that you wish you could have back? I had a journal from the time I was very young until I was 14. This wasn’t just a little journal with a few pages per entry, this was a binder filled with my thoughts, poems, dream journals on WIDE ruled binder paper. My boyfriend when I was a sophomore in high school tore it up because it had references to other “guys” in it. He was jealous… oh puhlease!

7. What is your one most important contribution to this world? My babies.

8. What is your one hidden talent that nearly no one knows about? My son says “a hidden talent to beat up people”. I just don’t think that’s it. How about to soothe people. I know, weird. But true.

9. What is your most cherished possession? Well, I assume this means material – hence, “possession”. I try not to hold onto the thought of something being that important that I’d miss it if it was gone… but, to answer this question, out of everything I own – the one thing I would miss the most if it was taken or destroyed is my house – although, I don’t own it outright.

10. What one person influenced your life the most when growing up?
My mother. No matter what – I’ve taken so many things from her. Her hard work and determination. Her undying responsibility for family. I’d like to say I had 1/2 as much as she did.

11. What one word describes you better than any other? Optimistic

We moved our office.  Not a big move, just across the
hall.  Nicer office, I’ll post pics after a bit.    I worked
all weekend but got a TON done and a huge issue off my list. 
Yeah!

My honey stayed with me all day yesterday in the office so that
was nice… well on to Deep Space Nine!  Nighters!
