Oh yes, it’s been a movie weekend! LOL

This one was an absolute tear jerker! Well done! My thumbs up! Okay, definitely a girly movie!

Oh no… no no no, this movie was one that I really didn’t like. It was the story I didn’t like – the movie was well done. I just don’t like anything to do with the Holocaust, it absolutely sends me to the point of being ill.

I would recommend this as a very good movie – but I can tell you I cannot stand to ever watch it again.

If you’ve seen it, can you let me know what you think about it?

I loved this movie! We watched it last night. It was fun! Ofcourse, I love the Rock.  Here’s the trailer if you haven’t seen it.

So things are doing well over here. I’ve been very busy though.

My handsome boy is home.  This momma is happy.  Albiet a bit nervous, but hey – who wouldn’t be?  He’s doing very well and very happy to come home.

I had a surprise party on my Birthday.  I will tell you all about it when I get the photos.  It’s amazing what my hubby can do getting it all together and I had no idea!

I’m finding myself really enjoying going to work.  I enjoy those I work with and the work I do.  Very nice.

I just saw the movie “Eagle Eye”. Has anyone seen that? Oh my goodness! Fun! So I thought I’d give a few vids of things I enjoy!

By the way – this is a movie I’m DYING for! hee hee

His Holiness The Dalai Lama

I just saw the movie “10 Questions for the Dailai Lama“.

I would like to ask each of you with a moment to comment – even short, did you know about what “Free Tibet” and the movement, and the history of what happened to the Tibetan people really meant?

After watching this, then researching I’m going to have to openly admit I had no idea what any of this meant. Right down to the “Boycott the Olympics” and the censorship happening via Google, Microsoft… etc.

Can you tell me? Please?

Do you know what has been happening there? In Tibet? To the people of Tibet?

I’m extremely shocked, embarrassed (that I didn’t pay attention), and a ton sad.

My son went to Pismo Beach camping with friends and ATVing.  He seemed to have had an accident and came home bruised, scabbed up and – as the Emergency room told us after numerous Xrays – one sprained ankle.

BOYS!

He’s still good looking and is now bragging about the 20′ drop of doom.    Luckilly the kid is in one peice!  Argh…

Too bad we didn’t get a movie…

Last night my handsome loving husband took me to see "The Bucket List".  It was definately a must see if you enjoy these two actors.  Plus, the underlying message of "find the joy in your life" is beautiful.

On Friday night, my best friend Dawn and I got our girl’s night out goin’ on and watched "National Treasure 2-Book of Secrets".  In my opinion – better than the first one!  Whooo Hoooo!

Remember the post I did on the Golden Compass movie?  Well, thought I’d get the trilogy that the author wrote:  Philip Pullman "His Dark Materials".  The first book in that Trilogy is what the movie The Golden Compass is about.

I’m intereted in the movie to be sure… but, um…

After reading book one (The Golden Compass) and book two (The Subtle Knife) and into book three (The Amber Spyglass)… I am wondering how they are making this into a childs film. 

It doesn’t seem to be written for children…  it’s kinda, um… Dark.  I don’t mean the references of religion (although I can tell where that would be an issue for those who normally take issue to that)… just, well… dark like Lord of the Rings.  You wouldn’t take a younger child to that (wait, maybe you would – not saying my opinion either way).  Some things are a bit gut wrenching.  I’m sure they will "child down" the movie. 

As for my teens, they are more than able to read the books and see the movie.  They understand fantasy vs. our world ya know? 

It’s a good read actually, it’s amazing how writers create these different world/fantasy stories.  The mind can think so many different things. 

Well, we’ll see I suppose.
