Jean-Luc at Captain Picard’s Journal always has really interesting Weekend Questions.  This one is kinda embarassing for me.

“What sports will you be most interested in watching during the Olympics and why? List as many as you like.”

Well, with everyone watching the Olympics I’m maybe one of the only ones that doesn’t.  Oh and I feel so shamed!    It’s a worldwide event and I’m not interested?!

I have this issue about sitting at the TV.  I can sit at the computer forever, but not the TV.

So, with Jean-Luc’s question I thought I’d see if I can get into it a bit more.

I hope they are on Demand on my cable TV!

Here’s My list of what I’d MOST like to watch:

• Syncronized Swimming
• Judo
• Fencing
• Diving
• Taekwondo
• Rhythmic Gymnastics

My babysitter, when I was a wee gal, had me watch the Synchronized Swimming all of the time.  Her granddaughter was in the Olympics when I was little and she did that event.  Oh so beautiful!

I remember watching wondering how the music goes through to the pool without someone getting electrified.

Thank you Jean-Luc, I think you may be the reason I actually watch this year!  (Oh the shame of it all!)

It could be just that I suddenly am paying attention, but it sure seems to me there are a plethora of natural disasters occuring as of late. Let’s see if I can list them?

NOT in any order – only what I’m going through on the web right now:

• "Swarm" of earthquakes hitting Reno, Nevada USA (344 of them?!). The article ("Quakes Confuse Experts, Send Kids Under Their Desks" By Sean O’Key CNN) was dated 5/1/2008.
• 6.8 Earthquake offshore 100 miles northeast of Tokyo. The article ("6.8 Earthqake Shakes Tokyo" by AP Published on CNN)
• Myanmar Cyclone. The Article ("US Envoy: Myanmar deaths may top 100,000" by CNN published on CNN)
• Chile’s Volcano Erupting and Evacuations happening. The Article ("Volcano spurs Chile Town’s Evacuation" By CNN)

There are more than that… is Earth upset?!

I think I’ll send out some love and light to our planet. She needs it.

As for the families of those that have lost a loved one, they get to have some love and light as well.  What a disasterous month!

My company email (domain) is being *spoofed* or whatever you wanna call it……. these spam dudes are using my domain name and sending out spam.  Therefore, my domain name this is for MY company is out there bouncing off of servers all over the place.

Not only that, I’m getting hits on this site with a referal location to purposely get you to click on some ad website.

I have put up with Spam (freedom of do whatever ya want) since the early pay as you go AOL days (I actually worked on AOL as a Chat Room Host – yeah yeah, I had free AOL whatever!).

Telemarketing phone calls (yes I’m on the blocked list), using MY valid paid for domain name to *spoof* out and send spam…

THAT IS IT! 

 

My Solution:

Because this is causing me heart ache, lost emails (’cause my email is getting stuck in my client’s spam folders now with a big [SPAM] comment on them….. I’m going to start sending invoices for $175.00 each infraction to the company that is SELLLING whatever it is they are peddling.

I’m going to set up a contract online here (watch me!) and it will be referred to the first time.  I will spend as much time as I can to sending out invoices to those that violate MY personal agreement.  

 

I understand the whole freedom to advertise……. I do…… but not freedom to bug the crud outta me.  This is 13 years or so of SPAMitus.

NOPE – the rate will be $500.00 per infraction because when a company reaches an owed amount of $10k I’m gonna find a lawyer that will actually drag this through the courts!

‘Tis not about money – but maybe that’s all they will listen to.

I’ve been SILENT too long!  This must end!

… Rant Over – I’ll step off my soap box and get that Invoice Template set up in my Financial Software …

(… seems alot of folks are worked up over this so let me just say right here and now – I’m not telling you to see the movie, I’m not telling you not to see the movie, I’m not suggesting you see the movie, I’m not suggesting you NOT see the movie… heck, I’m not even suggesting you read my post!    Love and beautiful Light.  You are loved.) 

I’m not sure I understand this, but I received a warning in email to not allow my children to see this movie.  It’s called the Golden Compass.  I know -0- about the movie, and have no personal opinion although now my interest is peaked since I was warned by someone I know quite well.  I must have been part of a large emailing list ’cause I’m not the kind to listen to a warning to not see something.  That usually means it makes it to my *must see*.  (Okay, I have a smidge of rebel in me).

I went to the website and looked at the trailer.  Interestingly enough, there are witches in this and I wondered if that was it.  The person who sent this is very religious.  Could that be why?  If so… Disney has witches.  I don’t understand.  Then I looked closer and found that in this movie they believe a person’s soul is in the outside of their body.  It inhabits something called a Daemon pronounced (DEE-mon).  Maybe ’cause it’s named Daemon it’s contriversial?   An animal with qualities like yourself.  In example if your Daemon is a dog you are one to follow authority (this is what is given on the site).

Still, I have no opinion.  I do not state my religious preferences on this blog for a reason.  Everyone is welcome here, no matter what race, religion etc. etc. etc.  Because the opinion I do share with you is that we are all one.  That I will make known.

So I’m going to research this movie/story because I’m curious to see why it would stir such a vividly explicit almost panicked response of my friend.

Meanwhile I played on the site and found that I too have a Daemon and his name is Laefe.  Handsome fellow really.  Tell me what you think?

Has anyone heard of any kind of reason folks wouldn’t want people to see this movie?  I’m going to research to see.  I do remember folks getting very upset at Harry Potter and The Ring.  Same issues perhaps?

A newfound friend is Peppermint!  Her site is alot of fun for me as she reminds me of myself a bit.  Try this post Dancing in the Driveway and play the music.  Just think of her and Mr. Peppermint dancing.  TOO CUTE! 

Another newfound blog I’m reading is one of those that you can read and just sit and THINK!  Beautiful if you ask me.  Read this post Is Life Real, or Just a Dream.  Thanks FearlessDreams for your contribution of thought and pondering.
