President Elect – Barack Obama
This is our new first family.
I did vote for the other guy, let’s be clear on that one. However, I’m truly excited about this Presidency.
I wasn’t excited until today.
I was listening to the BBC World News and heard some of the most amazing things! Folks outside of the U.S. are excited about this President. I even heard “We want to love America again”.
Wow!
I don’t really see this about the man, Barack Obama. I see this as the world wanting to move closer together. Oh I do hope and pray that is true.
As a McCain supporter I can say – WOW he ran an awesome election. Kudos to everyone that supported President Elect Obama and those that were a part of this historical campaign. Wow.
It’s really really beautiful to see and to hear so many folks so excited about the future.
Absolutely Beautiful.
From a McCain supporter to our New President Elect Barack Obama – Congratulations! Please, assist this country and those in the world that are clinging to the thought of change and hope. Bless his family for everything they’ve gone through. I’m sure his Grandmother who passed away before the election is watching over them all.

I haven’t said much on my site about this election because to be honest, there was so much hate on both sides I was hearing I couldn’t stomach it on my site. Now it’s over, and our country is in need of coming together and healing.
I for one am excited that there are those so absolutely abounding in joy. I saw so many crying and holding their hearts when they heard. I think this is truly assisting in healing some very old wounds.
Yeah!!
Love and Light fellow United States citizens, and fellow Earth citizens. I just loves you all.

Spin Me a Different Kind of “Green”
Recycling is very important you know.
Really. I myself am trying to figure out what to recycle.
As companies come up with new ideas, I’m the first to take a gander. I’ve found a really neat car I want! I’ll talk about that one later.
Today, upon opening my magazine and then following the internet site address ~ I gandered this:
Not sure what this is? Here’s another angle.
It’s a couch silly willy!
A couch that was made from a casket.
Something I really didn’t think needed much recycling. I was wrong.
Well, now, mortuaries would normally throw these away because of um, cosmetic issues or… maybe they were used as a display perchance?
So, this company is making use of these so as to re-use and not waste.
According to my Sierra Club Magazine (September/October 2008 Vol 93 No 5):
(Don’t worry about the bio hazard decal the couch sports – that only means it briefly cradled a body, not that it was buried)
You know, so you understand what the decal means.
Well – Kudos to you “Coffin Couches” and here’s my link to you to promote your good deeds.
What this tells me is: Folks are taking recycling seriously.
That’s good news.

Blog Award – Brillante Weblog Premio 2008
Brenda at Enroute365, so graciously gave me a Brillante Weblog Premio 2008 award. It’s my first award, and it’s funny that it came from someone I would have given it to in the first place. Brenda congratulations on receiving the award yourself! You deserved it, I love reading your blog. It always makes me think.
According to Brenda there is a custom of the award being passed down. The rules for the Brillante Weblog Award are as follows:
- The award may be displayed on a winner’s blog.
- Add a link to the person who you received the award from.
- Nominate up to 7 other blogs.
- Then add their links to your blog.
- Add a message to each person that you have passed the award on to in the comments secion of their blog.
I’ve chosen five although the list could continue. I gave this thought though, believe me. Without these folks and what they give to their blog and to those of us that read them – is simply unmeasurable. I make it through my week because of them! Thank you to each of you for making me smile more oft then not.

- DianeCA’s Metamorphoses
- 2 Witches Blog
- Adventures of Loving Annie
- A Zestful Quest
- Writing Quiets the Voices in My Head
I feel so giddy! I’m blushing. Thank you again Brenda for the opportunity to hand the award on to others! That, as you said, is the best part.
Love and Light,
Monica
