Earth is Talking
Is it just me, or are there more and more large earthquakes happening lately? 8.8 Magnitute Earthqake in Chili – which, was 500 times more powerful they said than the Haiti quake.
Here are the listing of the significant earthquakes from the USGS Site for 2010. Seems to me, something is going on – gee, dunno.

Now there is a tsunami warning for the coast Mexico, California, Oregon, Washington and all the way up to Alaska. Hawaii ofcourse is on the list for the warning and the tsunami will hit there they said in about 4 hours. You can read more at the link.
I hope every keeps safe. Looks like the Tsunami waves aren’t that big though… let’s hope.
Meanwhile, seems the earth is talking! Could be time to listen.
Stay safe, and my thoughts are with Chili and everyone involved.
Television – Oh How I Love Thee
I’m an avid Heroe’s fan. My son James and I started by watching all episodes of Season 1, then Season 2 and then ofcourse – Season 3, which just ended with this past Monday’s episode.
I have to say I totally enjoy it. Regular people with extraordinary powers. What a blast. Season 4 is going to come out Feburary 2nd. I cannot wait!
Here’s the Preview:
My son’s most FAVORITE character is Clair – the Cheerleader. Oh yeah. He’s in love. Here’s a pic of my son’s dream love:
My favorite? Oh it’s a bit scary, but it’s Sylar the creepy guy:
Yes, I love the creepy dark and handsome guys. My hubby however, is completely the light bright sweet guy – well, he has his creepy side – don’t we all?
For Daniel and I – well, since he moved in – um, 2005 – I’ve slowly been converting him to a Sci-Fi Freak, I mean – fan. So far the conversion of Hubby to Trekkie is working very well.
Each night we watch one or two episodes IN BED (yes, I actually have a flipping TV in my room – argh). First, I decided to take him through the time of Star Trek. The first one we watched was ALL Star Trek: Enterprise series. Yes, we own all of them.
Then we watched Star Trek Next Generation (yes, we skipped the old Kirk one, we’ve both seen it) – and yes, we own all seasons!
Then Star Trek Deep Space Nine, then we watched Star Trek Voyager. We own all of those series too!
Then onto Battlestar Galactica Seasons 1-3 and we are anxiously awaiting Season 4! Whoot!
Ahhhh….. the life of Sci Fi!
Ofcourse another love of mine is Paranormal. So, had to start on Season 1 of Ghost Whisperer!
Great series. I love the feel good TV ya know? She assists earth bound ghosties in crossing over. I love the sentimental part of this, and Daniel seems to enjoy as well. Shhhh, don’t tell his guy friends. OH – that’s right, he loves it because of the hottie in this, Melinda (Jennifer Love Hewitt). I can’t say I blame him.
Here’s the opening for Season 1 (which we just finished!)
So, that’s my wrap up of “What the Heck is Monica Watching Now?”. Hope you enjoyed… stay tuned for the new one I just found! Knight Rider! Oh yeah, a mustang with guns…. gotta love it!
Happy Ho-Ho!
Google Earth – They Are Watching You?
OH my gosh I laughed at this one… then took a breath and had to THINK about it. LOL
I found this over at “Steven Designs” and his post:
President Elect – Barack Obama
This is our new first family.
I did vote for the other guy, let’s be clear on that one. However, I’m truly excited about this Presidency.
I wasn’t excited until today.
I was listening to the BBC World News and heard some of the most amazing things! Folks outside of the U.S. are excited about this President. I even heard “We want to love America again”.
Wow!
I don’t really see this about the man, Barack Obama. I see this as the world wanting to move closer together. Oh I do hope and pray that is true.
As a McCain supporter I can say – WOW he ran an awesome election. Kudos to everyone that supported President Elect Obama and those that were a part of this historical campaign. Wow.
It’s really really beautiful to see and to hear so many folks so excited about the future.
Absolutely Beautiful.
From a McCain supporter to our New President Elect Barack Obama – Congratulations! Please, assist this country and those in the world that are clinging to the thought of change and hope. Bless his family for everything they’ve gone through. I’m sure his Grandmother who passed away before the election is watching over them all.

I haven’t said much on my site about this election because to be honest, there was so much hate on both sides I was hearing I couldn’t stomach it on my site. Now it’s over, and our country is in need of coming together and healing.
I for one am excited that there are those so absolutely abounding in joy. I saw so many crying and holding their hearts when they heard. I think this is truly assisting in healing some very old wounds.
Yeah!!
Love and Light fellow United States citizens, and fellow Earth citizens. I just loves you all.

Love and Light
First, a huge amount of gratitude to those that have commented, emailed and given their love and support in the times I’ve had in the last week.
I have had Stephen read the comments and he teared up. He’s 16 but can be touched by kind hearts and beautiful words. Thank you.
He is starting his own blog, and I’ll link here when he’s got it a bit under control.
Second, if there is anyone else out there that is empathic at all – I ask you this – how heavy are you feeling now?
Those reading may not believe in what I do, and that’s a blessing because varied views are beautiful and learning experiences for us all!
Let me tell you where I’m at right this moment as a 40 year old lady, living in the U.S. on this planet Earth in this Solar System and a part of the Universe:
I’m fighting to keep my world full of light, and love and stillness.
Although I’ve dealt with emotional ups and downs this last week – I can tell you that isn’t all that is creating a difficult situation in my spirit.
In the U.S. we have so many crisis’s right now. From the election, to the financial “Wholly Heck”, to the day to day issues of homelessness, abuse and suffering.
In the World we have suffering, war, and hate.
On Earth we have a general tone of “oh well, someone will fix it later”.
*We* does not mean each individual by the way, there are many doing what they can in each instance. But not the whole.
Mahatma Ghandi has a quote I attempt to live my life by every day and I do fall short most days unfortunately:
Be the change you want to see in the world.
That doesn’t mean look to someone to change it. It does truly mean for you to be the change you wish for. It starts with each of us.
With that said, there isn’t many American’s right now that aren’t having great angst and fear around this election. Both the Obama side and the McCain side of voters actually FEAR the other getting into office. Why? It’s because of our media and mis-information being thrown at you. These two are men. Humans like us. They will each do the best they can to assist this country. Neither is as bad as each side paints them to be.
I can say I’ve personally seen things that make me question the integrity and sincerity of both sides. Enough to make me wonder who to “write in” on the ballot. Then I catch myself.
Folks, either candidate will be perfect.
If that statement jolts you from the inside and you want to SCREAM “it’s not so” – then I urge you to look inside and ask yourself what your true fear is. Take a deep look at what you fear and work on that. Yourself.
Whoever gets elected is going to have a tough year ahead of them. It’s just where we are at right now.
I get that lately – many folks are going to need therapy in heavy doses after this election.
It will all be okay.
It will all just *be* and that is perfect.
Please get yourself to a place of calmness, stillness and light if you are currently in fear, stressed or generally off balance. At the very least, if you are feeling this way – take a look at it.
It feels to me that the world is going faster and faster and folks are attempting to move away from it, not with it.
It will all be okay… really. It will be perfect.
Love and Light to everyone that reads this. You are loved.
Monica

Today – Tuesday – Tomorrow – Wednesday
Just in case you were wondering if I knew what day it was. I do.
Today was quite windy. I was parked at Starbucks a place that sells nutritious stuff, and was waiting for my son Jimmy to go in and get my Venti Iced Chai Latte nutritious thing, and while I was waiting I could have sworn I was being rocked to sleep. Wasn’t sure at the moment what the issue was, and then it dawned on me duh! the wind! It was literally rocking the van I was in, AND the other cars in the lot. Strange sensation.
It felt almost like when you first step on an escalator, when you try to adjust to the movement and have that moment of inbalance.
I live in California and the only thing that rocks us here are the earthquakes. Earthquakes, small ones, are actually kinda fun. Yes, I know… strange. As long as nothing is falling on your head it really is an interesting feeling to have the earth suddenly move you. We take the ground we walk on for granted.
Everyone from California has an earthquake story. If not, they are only passerbys. Having lived here for almost 40 years (holey crap!) then I can say I’ve been through many of them. The 1989 one was a big one for me because my 6 month old baby was at a babysitters hours away (traffic was stopped so a normal 1/2 hour drive turned into much longer) and there was no phone connection. I remember the news first reports that the SF Bay Bridge had collapsed. Entirely. It didn’t, but a good size chunk did. Not to mention all the other hell that happened after.
See? Get a Californian started… there it goes.
But wind?
Here’s my question for those that deal with Tornados. Um, WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?
That is precisely the question I get from those outside of California about the earthquakes. So I do understand. But wow! And hurricanes… and all other horrific weather emergencies.
I’d be the idiot running out taking pictures of the "oh look at the pretty sky" before the twister.
By the way, my most favorite movie in the whole wide world is Twister. Just a funky fact.
