Now this is interesting.  I found this site Cafemom, that you can join with other mommas.  Well, I qualify for something – that would be a momma for sure.  So I thought I’d join and see what’s cookin’.

I found that you can do a photo showdown (just-for-fun) and see what others vote as the best between your photo and someone else’s!  I saw so many cute pics, I just had to try.  Take a look!  This one that I’ve linked to is of my step-son Daniel J and my niece Megan.  She follows him everywhere!

While looking through photos, I came across one of Jessie Leigh (my daughter, now 19) and I restored it a bit.  I was so excited to find this!  What do you think?

Here’s a trip down my memory lane.  My first vehicle was a 1980 Ford Pinto.  Beige.  I bought it all by myself for $400.00.  The stereo system I put in after I bought it was worth 3-4 times the price of the car.  Oh, and I had fuzzy seats for comfort!!  Ahhh…. those were the days.

 

Hey, I was proud of it!  The photo above is a 1979 pinto, but it’s the same kinda thing really.  I traded that in for a 1986 Mini Truck (oh a WHOLE ‘nother post).

So, it’s time for my daughter to get her first ever car.  Jessica will be 19 in March and is doing well in college and working.  Bless her little heart.  So her daddy goes and buys her "The First Car".  Yeah…. wanna see it?!  

 

That is an Audi TT.  Year, 2000.  Okay…. um, what the?!  How come SHE gets the cute little car huh?  Oh that spoiled little… "ahem".    She looks um…. "smokin’" in the car really and she’s ear to ear in smiles.  Her daddy did good.  BTW he’s a great dad really, and not just ’cause of the car. 

So, my little girl is out zoom zoomin’ in that little sports car!  OH, remember now… I am not allowed to drive yet.  So on Thanksgiving when she came to show us the car she went to hand me the keys to take ‘er out for a spin and pulled them back a little flushed saying, "oh momma, I’m sorry you can’t drive". 

DOH!  oh no no no no fair!  hee hee

So, now what… I have three boys comin’ up in line for  vehicles.  Jimmy will be 17 in 2 weeks… I was thinkin’ something like the AMC Gremlin ~ whatcha think?

 

Hmmm…. hey, whatever happened to work and buy it yerself?!  

Okay, well…. the boys have been told if they wanna drive they have to pay the insurance.  Not sure if that’s even feasible.  Lordy.

There, that’s my first vehicle story…. I’ve had 22 since.  Yes, the family has an issue with cars… I’m ashamed.  ::sigh::

But an Audi?!  oh fer cryin’ out loud….

  Love and Light and what is up with the gasoline prices?!  It’s over $4.00 / gallon in SF right now.  We need to just use skates or bikes.

Park them cars and get into some sort of different transportation.  Or something…

Well, I’ve had the seizures for 11 years but REFUSED to get one of those darned medic alert thingy ma bobs ’cause if I did that means I was giving in… well, or I thought…

So I was reading some folks that were talking about their incidents without having one on who ALSO have seizures…

It Was Not Pretty

Seizures come in many many different forms.  There is the kind that the person is literally jerking around and it’s kinda obvious what’s going on… but there are those of us that have weird ones.

Some folks just stare off in the distance and to someone just taking to them they COULD mistake the person for just ignoring them…. (as happened to someone that gave a really yucky story that convinced me to get one).

My seizures are Complex Partial so I can pass out or not, depending on how bad it is.

So, I have a medic alert bracelet and I got it in a pretty lavender.  Heck, it’s gonna look cute right?

At least if I’m passed out on the side of the road the cops aren’t gonna think I’m drunk!

Mind you, I really want to train the German Shephard for rescue – so that is my main goal.  The Corgi doesn’t fare well with that, but would be an awesome pet!
