Book Series Review – Women of the Otherworld, Kelley Armstrong
I’m a reader. Pure and simple. I love to read and fall into another time and place you know? I especially enjoy the supernatural. Trouble is, I can read a normal paperback book in under a few hours. The difficulty with that is the following:
- My time of enjoyment is pretty limited. A few hours of intrigue in a fiction book, certainly doesn’t carry my attention for long.
- After reading a book – I’m stuck wishing I could have more!
- Example, a Harry Potter book was read by me in less than a day. So I was left wanting forever!
- Twilight books – same thing, read them too fast – then left wishing for more.
- Frustrating!
I do have a Kindle. This helps a lot because any book is only a download away you know? If you don’t know – here’s the Amazon Link for it. Check it out. Unfortunately, I don’t believe the wireless coverage is outside of the US much. But I think the Sony Reader is. Not sure. You can check the coverage map to check.
Anyway, I get really agitated over series’ that start off great and then seem to taper off. What I mean is – take Harry Potter and the Twilight Series. Both of which I think the authors were pushed too fast to get the books out there. So the first and second in the series were great! Then, come the 3rd books on – not well done at all. I bet if they had left the authors to take the time they needed to write them, they would have continued to be good. But alas – Hollywood has it’s timelines eh? So finding a well done series is always what I’m on the hunt for. Kelley Armstrong is one author that has it done right!
I found this series called “Women of the Otherworld”. The author is Kelley Armstrong. I found it by accident because I purchased her 10th book in the series, brought it home – and noticed it was part of a series. I should have looked – but I’m glad I didn’t or I might not have stumbled on this author. Her series is about a paranormal world secretly within our own. Witches, sorcerers, demons, necromancers, vampires and werewolves to name a few. The series has new characters and characters you get to know along the way. Very well written!
After bringing home book 10, I immediately bought and downloaded books 1-9 on my Kindle to read before reading the 10th! There is also a number 11 in the series that she will have out later this year I suppose. I’m really looking forward to it. I highly recommend this author and these books.
These are her books in the “Otherworld” series in order. The links do link to Amazon under my associates ID.
Take a look if you’d like!

All of her characters are very well thought out. I’m excited for the Book 11 to come out! I can’t wait!
By the way – in no way is this review paid for by Kelley Armstrong or any one at all. The links are to the Amazon site and have my associates ID related, that would be the only money I could get from this. In other words, I love the series and no one paid for me to say it! Ha!
Enjoy!
Kindle Took Me Away

It’s an interesting thing, this online life… we have friends online and when they go “missing” we truly worry. I’m so sorry to have worried anyone. I’ve wanted to update, but I have been coming home at night from work and just falling in bed to sleep.
All work no play makes Mon a dull girl.
So, I got this electronic book reader called “Amazon Kindle” and oh my GOSH that’s where any down time has been allocated. My husband purchased it for me after I went ga ga over it after seeing someone at a restaurant reading from one.
So I’ve read the Twilight series of books which were really good. I saw the movie, but ofcourse that is nothing like the book. And you can subscribe to magazines and newspapers. I’ve actually begun to take a lunch time at work when I can and walked out to the park like area around our building – cuddled up and read. Oh reading… it’s my love.
I’ve been so tired lately. I’m really not sure why. I know I’ve been working alot, but really… it’s no different than before. So why so tired? Oh, yes… no exercise. Duh.

Happy Easter for those that celebrate! Happy Sunday to those that don’t.
Love and Light my friend. Now I am off to see what your blogs say! I am greatful for your comments. I am greatful I’m in your thoughts. It means so much to this soul.
Hugs,
