Stephen’s Blog

I told you all I’d update you when Stephen started blogging! He’s got a little blog started, and I thought I’d ask if you all could maybe just take a look? ;)

He’s been HEAVY into learning PhotoShop lately – and has been writing again.

So here’s his Blog: Xairai’s Shadow

Let him know what you think! He’s hoping folks will come through and maybe read a bit. It’s new, so he’ll be adding as he goes.

Thanks all!

The World Has Gone Mad – Explained by Sjeltur

I hadn’t seen this write up until now – and I’m so thankful to Sjeltur for taking the time to explain generations and what we are going through in each period of time in History (rather, what we have gone through).  This was a very good post and I’d recommend reading it if you are interested in the history and times we’ve gone through since 1880 – Present.  An excerpt from the post (http://sjeltur.nl/the-world-is-going-mad-sign-of-the-times):

A comment by Monica inspired me to write a little about her observation that the world is going mad. It looks like this is true, but it’s actually nothing new. Although never the same, history seems to go through cycles and the current cycle is definitely one with heightened madness. Historians and demographers recognize four basic types of different generations, born in four different eras. Here a table of the different generations and eras, and a short description…

Please go to the site to see his descriptions and following information.  I enjoy reading the blog “Sjeltur:  The World According to Sjeltur” it’s very informative!

Thank you Sjeltur for your Post as response to my comment.  ;)   You are appreciated and I learned something new!

EDIT – I added the link to the actual post.  Duh!  Thanks Annie!

Blog Award – Brillante Weblog Premio 2008

Brenda at Enroute365, so graciously gave me a Brillante Weblog Premio 2008 award. It’s my first award, and it’s funny that it came from someone I would have given it to in the first place. Brenda congratulations on receiving the award yourself! You deserved it, I love reading your blog. It always makes me think.

According to Brenda there is a custom of the award being passed down. The rules for the Brillante Weblog Award are as follows:

  1. The award may be displayed on a winner’s blog.
  2. Add a link to the person who you received the award from.
  3. Nominate up to 7 other blogs.
  4. Then add their links to your blog.
  5. Add a message to each person that you have passed the award on to in the comments secion of their blog.

I’ve chosen five although the list could continue. I gave this thought though, believe me. Without these folks and what they give to their blog and to those of us that read them – is simply unmeasurable. I make it through my week because of them! Thank you to each of you for making me smile more oft then not.

I feel so giddy! I’m blushing. Thank you again Brenda for the opportunity to hand the award on to others! That, as you said, is the best part.

Love and Light,

Monica

Energy of Friends

Energy Of Friends

Interestingly enough, I don’t think I ever understood truly what a friend is until I hit 40.

I’d call them, they’d call me – we would do kinda a data dump and that was that.  Contact positive – we are a go for silence.

But at 40 or a little before I began *seeing* those around me.  My best friend in particluar.  In my opinion her spirit is a *healer*.  She’s one that will listen and give back positive energy.  No matter how badly I have behaved.

How good of a friend am I?

The Answer:  Not the best I can be.

So daily – I think of things to implement into the day to day life of those I love and care for.

A letter here (handwritten – not email), an email there with a short but sweet positive thought for the day, a bouquet of flowers sent.

I’m working on my friendship abilities.  It’s a daily process.

To those that are my *bloggy friends* – you are truly the best.  A comment here or there, some humor in posts or inspirations, or just hearing how your life is.  It’s beautiful and I’m learning.

Friends – the energies around them is beautiful.  Thank you for being *you*.

Love and Light,

Monica

Meme – Gratitude (From Annie)

This morning I decided to peruse all of my feeds from everyone!  That has had me busy all day.  For dozens of reasons.  Oh to veg and blog.

First blog I came to ~ 2 Witches Blog ~ Mama Kelly did a “Blogging My Blessings” post.  It was wonderful and I was so glad that was the first one I clicked on.

Second blog I went to ~ Adventures of Loving Annie ~ Annie had been tagged to do a Gratitude Meme!  So I got to read what she was greatful for!

Oh what a day!  Grateful gratitudes galore!

So, I’m taking Annie up on her Meme “Gratitude Meme” and putting my little bit of love here.

I’m grateful for the breath I take.  Each day I get to be alive I’m grateful for the chance to be here on this earth having this physical existence and simply *being*.

I’m grateful for the spirits I share this life with.  My family, my friends, my bloggy friends, my clients, my dog, my neighbors and those that don’t like me.  Each person (or puppy) is here because we are sharing a learning experience.  Hey, even those that don’t like me much.  Ofcourse, there simply can’t be that many!

I’m grateful for my knowledge.  I have my own company, I can read, I can write, I can type and I can kinda maneuver around the internet!  LOL

I’m grateful for the cooling breezes I feel at night when the day has been so hot.

I’m grateful for the darkness.  Because with out the black in the night sky you simply wouldn’t be able to see the stars.

Love and Light dear friends.  Thank you for sharing my blog experience too!

Mon

Namaste and Thoughts

I only recently found out what “Namaste” meant.  Oh I love it so much!  I’ve been using it and noticing there are so many that know it!  I feel like I stumbled on a new language.  Okay, old but new to me.

My other darling boy (*snicker*) is at the hotel again tonight waiting for the Military processing center and going to meet with a commanding officer I believe.  He’s behind in credits to graduate and they want to be sure he is very serious about joining and getting his credits in time.  Hey, fine by me!
My hubby is sound asleep.  His mouth hurts ’cause he just got on his bottom braces.  OUCH – sure looks like it hurts!  Poor thing.
Me?  I’m going through some sort of life change.  I’ll write on that later.  It’s an odd one to be sure and I’m really holding on to keep myself in balance.  I think it’s ’cause the kiddies are getting older and gonna fly out of the nest in the next few years (*no no no sooner*)  Sokay, no stress.  I’m workin on it all!

I’ll be to my friends’ blogs pretty quick.  I miss ya’ll so much!So I’ll leave you with this thought:

Things here are going *swell*.  Really good ~ my son, Stephen just started back to school.  It’s Stephen’s Junior year in high school (11th grade).  He made it to Varsity on the football team!  Oh I’m proud of him for trying out.  He’s getting outside of his comfort zone by attempting it this year.

A true friend laughs at your stories even when they’re not so good, and sympathizes with your troubles even when they’re not so bad

Friends are so so so important to our inner light.  Thank you all for being who you are even if we converse only through typed words.

Love and Beautiful Radiant Light,  ~Monica~
