I’m seeing quite a few blogs starting to talk about this. In Mexico there are apparently 1300 reported cases and over 80 deaths as of this morning’s news paper. In the U.S. there are a few cases and no deaths.
My best friend went to Puerto Vallarta Mexico for 10 days. Her and her husband left this past Thursday. I’m a smidge concerned, only because small discussions I see here and there about suspending flights. Not that they are going to as of now, but hey – you never know. She’s not due back until next weekend so I’ll just send out to the Universe that all goes well.

Let’s hope they remain healthy and haven’t caught anything nasty. Traveling can be a bit risky health wise even under the best of circumstances. You can pick up a nasty germ just even on a flight somewhere.
Sapphire’s last blog post..It wasn’t me……
True on picking it up on a flight. Anything that is.
I’m sure it will all bowl over. That’s an old saying!
The news channels are going a little hysterical in Britain, with ‘Don’t visit America’ warnings etc.
Interesting! Getting a bit strange eh? Well, I’m alive and well!
thanks for coming through Jean-Luc!!
Will keep your friends in my thoughts for a safe and healthy return..I know it kinda working up a bit… I know there is a case here in Ohio, I did attend an online web chat with a local news channel here tonight only to educate myself because and not get caught up in they hysteria. (with being a caregiver for my dad is better to be educated)… Hope you had a beautiful day
Susan’s last blog post..Just working on my Monday Chores…
Smart! I’m only hearing what the media is saying… and that’s not fun. ;(
I’ll keep my fingers crossed for your friends! The media is always causing problems by scaremongering, that’s why I try to stay away from it
In 1347 it was the plague, then typhus, in the 19th century it was tuberculosis, then there was sars etc… it’s life… It’s just that these days with everyone traveling everywhere it spreads much faster than in 1347 when people only went as far as the nearest village

That’s how I feel… they scare the beejezus out of ya for nothing, then when it’s something they hide it. Oy vey!
I have friends who live in Mexico and they are fine… they say it’s a lot of paranoia too.
I don’t want to be cynical, but how many people die of poverty-related diseases everyday… yes, even in so-called “modern countries”…
So basic precautions I guess (wash hands etc.) but no need to worry too much
I’m over it now. I swear the media is something I can’t watch anymore. Honestly. Their ratings here are so bad (’cause of many factors) that sometimes I think they blow things SO far out of proportion. But hey… I don’t have to read it!
I think, better to be careful.
Smart idea! I think it’s not going to be much of an issue though.
