My son has his permit – even though he’s 18 – he waited. 
My brother gave him a 2004 Ford Escape and he’s taking his driving test tomorrow for his CA driver’s license. Whoot!
Wish the boy luck! And momma for the insurance! It’s only a short time though…. he’s in the USMC training in June!

Awe… Woo Hoo Good Luck!!! My daughter waited too, she hopefully is getting her license this spring, she just graduated last June (2008) and just turned 19 in Jan….she so needs that license!!
