Our Holiday Season 2008-2009

Posted on

I have to say, this holiday season was interesting.  Most of our family said clearly “please no gifts”.  With the economy I don’t blame them at all!  So less shopping to do was sure a nice thing I will have to be honest!

For Christmas we went to my Aunty Pat’s in Palo Cedro, CA.  She has acreage there and it’s so serene – and cold this time of year.  No snow, so not that cold!

The troupe that went was my three kids (Jessica, James and Stephen) and me and my hubby.  Along with was my cousin Jay and his two girls Christina and Morgan.  I love this family!  All of the kids are about the same age, so we had a ton of teens!  Always fun!

Aunty Pat did her regular “Money Tree”.  It’s a Xmas tree with wrapped up money on it.  She wraps $5s, $10s, and $20s like little presents and then places it on the tree.  Then, the kids get to roll dice to see who gets a chance to pick from the tree.  Each kid made it out of there with about $100 each.  WOW!

We did do a bit of laser tag!  My laser tag gaming name courtesy of the laser gun?  You wanna know?  “Sloth”!  What the heck kinda name is THAT for a laser tag player?!  Funny thing is, I won.  LOL  Sloth kicked butt!

Here’s some pics of our Shasta Dam excursion.  We wanted to see how low the water was.  Unfortunately, it was low.  :(

I always feel so peaceful with my Aunt.  The area is beautiful, the family is perfect… and the views from this location are wonderful.

We did quite a bit more, but since my house is in extreme disorder (I’ll post on that one another time) I’ve been taking time to get my life back in order.

I hope you enjoy the pics of our mugs.  Love and Light, Mon
