Viruses, Cubicles and Thanks

Well, after this week I’d say the virus probobly came at a good time if any.  I had zero time to get online as I was in my new job and it was all I could do to make it home and then go to sleep.  Sad isn’t it?  But wonderful!  The company I work for is very impressive!  They treat their employees so well.  I am at this moment, beyond greatful!

As for the computer virus – it was a doozie.   My dearest husband cleaned the whole thing back to it’s *new* state.  So nothing loaded, nothing on it, all fresh and brand new smelling.  Well, not sure about how it smells.

To PC or not to PC.  That surely doesn’t seem like a question anymore.  I have a little iMac, it chugs chugs along.  I have had it since 2005 but there are surely much better systems out there.  Maybe after I pay my credit cards down a bit I will venture that way.   For now, it’s my trusty (not really) dusty PC for the momento.

Thank you to everyone for the congrats on the new job.  I really can’t tell you how greatful I am that I found a *home* in my new position.  Now it’s just the new employee jitters.  Making sure everything is correct, making sure you are doing everything you should… etc.  Ahhhh…

OH!  And I have a cubicle!  I haven’t had a cubbie since…. 1999 or so?  I think?  I’ve had an office forever.  I’m excited to be a part of cubicle city!  Anyone have some good pics of their cubicle?  I so wanna decorate for perfect stress free environment!  Should I put out candy for my new fellow/a employees?  What is it like to be in a cubicle?!

Okay, enough for now… I am attempting to finish something for a client and I want to be sure I get it totally done by tomorrow!

Thank you everyone for your wonderful comments.  You all are the reason I enjoy blogging!

Love and Light,

Monica

Computer Hosed

Oh my my my.  My computer is kinda dead via virus.

So, here is a quickie and I’m sorry I can’t get back to your comments until next week and will humbly come through your sites as well.

Quickie – I GOT A POSITION with an awesome company.  I’m starting Monday and I’m very thankful.  I’ll give ya the gist when I get this baby runnin’ again.

Love and Light all of you…

Hysterical Husband

I don’t know if any of you have ever seen this, but I would like to say I have NEVER seen my husband laugh so hard as when he watched this video on his iphone.  He was in bed, turning red in hysterics.  I do believe he even went purple.  Tears down the checks – everything.

It’s such a simple video!

For your pleasure – I present to you

The Sneezing Panda

What Belief Are You?

I have said a few times here on my blog I’m not Christian.  For whatever reason I always feel the need to say that.  Although I’m not sure why.  I was born and raised Catholic (my cousin was a Sister – nun), and my relatives on my mom’s side were very religious.  We didn’t follow it much.  But that’s not the story here.

When I was a teen I really got into the whole Church thing – there was a local church that had a really good teen program and I completely loved going.  Although, it didn’t feel right that I went and didn’t *convert*.  So I said I was Christian.  Then, after my first marriage went funky – my husband at the time and I did another *convert* to Church of Latter Day Saints (Mormanism).  I loved that church!  They were very family oriented, and in a marriage falling apart that was a breath of fresh air.  Then divorce and a HUGE amount of *stuff* happened and I never went back.

The missionaries with the Church came to me and began attempting to assist me back into the Church.  I so enjoyed them, and the folks at the Church but I just blurted out – “I do not believe I should worship Jesus Christ.  He was a good man, but there are many of those.  I am not Christian.”  And with that – I was done church hopping.

Let me be VERY clear – in no way do I believe anyone’s faith is incorrect for them.  Just because I don’t believe in it doesn’t mean I think everyone is incorrect!  So we are clear on that.  I love everyone.  Period.  But I do have some pretty specific beliefs.  ;)   I won’t go into that here.

With all of that – I just ran across “What Do You Believe?” on How’s Bradley’s blog.  I read what he had and went to Belief.net and took the Belief-O-Matic test.  That was pretty neat!  Here are my top five results after the test:

  1. New Age (100%)
  2. Neo-Pagan (96%)
  3. Mahayana Buddhism (90%)
  4. New Thought (83%)
  5. Unitarian Universalism (83%)

The funny thing is, I truly have no label.  I guess I can say now New Age and maybe that will make sense to some.  But, no… what I believe in isn’t new.  I’m not sure – so I just say “Non-Christian”.  ;)

What I believe doesn’t have a building to go to on a certain day.  What I believe in isn’t really something with a name – they all seem to fall short.  What I believe in I can’t join a group.  Well, not if I don’t know where they are!

But, hey… it’s my belief and I love it.

Love and Light to all of you of every belief.  I love you tons!

Yes I do.

Can’t Sleep – Clown’s Will Eat Me

clowns

Okay, not really.

But I cannot for the life of me CALM DOWN enough to go to sleep.  What is UP with this?  I did just get a job offer today!  So my mind is going like a mad woman trying to get it all together.  The money, the benefits, getting the kids to/from school, kids homework (they are mostly home schooled), long hours working (yes, this is the case – the *job* has a possibility of travel – and definately loooong hours).

coffee

So many things in my head.

Oh I cannot sleep.

I even just got done writing in my journal-journal. You know, the kind you really use a pen and write in?  Yes, I actually still have one of those.  I can’t tell ya’ll everything ya know.  Well, close to it… ;)

Oh someone hit me over the head!  fryingpan-1

Okay, that’s it – it’s tea time (decaf ofcourse).

I’m gonna go do some night work out in the sanctuary – very dark in there, and well… if I fall asleep, I might have a racoon or something on my lap.  With my luck it will be a frog or three.

ARGH

Need.  Sleep.  Now.

Time Goes Slow

thclockTick -Tock goes the clock

Time slows when you want something to happen.

What to happen you ask?

A phone call.

I’m looking for a change, a *job* – and I found one that I’m so excited about.  So I wait.

Tick-Tock goes the clock.

0phoneSo now I’ve memorized what my phone looks like.

I’ve stared at it so long now.

Ring.  Ring.  Ring.

And, nothing yet.

Tick-Tock goes the clock.

Oh please ring.

The Surprise – Mud!

The last post I did I said my hubby had a surprise for me.  He certainly did!

I was instructed to be in my car at 9:00 AM on Thursday and call him for further instructions.

I called as I was pulling out of the driveway and he told me to go to my best friend’s house and to find her.

Find her?

Was this a scavenger hunt?

No!

I got there and my Dawn (my bestest friend), her momma (Doris – from New York), and her brother’s wifey (Renee – also from New York) were there waiting for me.  Here’s the gist!

My honey paid for me, and part of Doris and part of Renee to go to a Spa in Calistoga!  We went Thursday, spent the night there and then Friday had – check this out, a MUD BATH, mineral spa, hour massage, and facial!

Oh.  My.  Goodness.

Girls could have no more fun – oh, we did ofcourse tour Calistoga and shop like the ladies we are!

The mud bath was oh so stinky!  Smelled like sulfer and was so HOT!  Dawn and I shared a room and adjoining mud baths and had a few mud tosses at eachother.  Then showed after and got into the mineral spa.  Oh so much heaven!

The massage was to die for!  And the facial?  Oh I was shinin’ – in a good way.

It was wonderful – and for the gals from upstate New York – getting away from the 30 below was a good thing!

I didn’t get to take pics, we were too busy and to stop for photos wasn’t on the overall agenda.  BUT I did get a good one of Dawn, her momma and her sister-in-law!

Are they happy or what?!

We went to the Calistoga Golden Haven Hot Springs.  They treated us like queens and what more can you ask for?  I’d recommend them any day.  I’ve also been to Lavender Hills in Calistoga, very nice as well!  Just in case any of you would like to take a day for a spa treatment!

So that was my surprise.

Today is Doris’ birthday and her and Renee are leaving to New York in the morning.  I’ll miss them both.

Thank you dearest hubby.  You sure know how to treat your lady.

Good News and a Surprise from Hubby

First, the good – great – news.  Alex from Alex Is Wired has woken up!  His brother said he’s awake!  Whoot!  For those that don’t know, I asked for prayers and light for Alex because he didn’t wake up after his surgery in December.  From what Jay says, his brother, he’s awake!  They still have a ways to go, but I’m so so so happy for the family – and for Alex.  He is definately someone I consider to be a friend.  Blog friend though, never met him in real life.  But he’s a great person via blog.  ;)   So, there is the GOOD NEWS!  Whooot!

Surprise?  Well, I have just a few minutes on here – I wanted to post to tell you I’m going to be gone today and tomorrow.  Where you ask?  I don’t know!  Here’s the gist -

Hubby says “I have something planned for you.  On Thursday you need to be in your car by 9 AM then call me and I’ll tell you where to drive.  Pack something for overnight – you’ll be back Friday night.”

WOW!

I don’t know where I’m going!  He could be setting me up to get my life insurance money – OR (hee hee) he’s doing something sweet for me.  I have the bestest hubby in the world.  Okay, okay… you say you do (those with hubby folk) – but for me, he’s the best.

So, I have my camera (Tess!) and I’ll take pics unless he’s driving me off a cliff.  Then, well… maybe I can get a few on the way down eh?

Just kidding.

I’m super ooober excited!

I’ll post when I can to let ya know what I’m doin!

Thank you hubby, I love you so much – thanks for loving me.
