Airport Security – Frisk Me!
Ever attempt to get on an airplane without a photo ID?
Well, it’s a hoot!
You are escorted to the *scary* security and frisked. 
My luggage was “swabbed” for explosives, and my shoes, and whatever else.
Niiice.
Yes, I was flying out to Utah and somehow some way lost my Driver’s License somewhere.
doh!
BTW this is in no way a gripe, I have no issue with security at the airports doing what they need to. Believe me. I just thought it was a funny story I’d share with ya!

That reminded me a spare-of-a-moment trip Mark & I took four years ago. We bought our plane tickets & hotel in DC about 6 hrs before the flight. Yup, we were selected for secondary screening…and frisking

Interesting… people without photo ID are terrorists… should be easy to spot them then!
I had an argument at the Philly airport security control a few year ago. I was on my way to France, transferring in the U.S.A and I had to go through the security with my shoes off, holding my bag open in one hand, and my shoes in the other. My laptop computer had no battery left and didn’t boot and the security threaten me to keep the computer. I yelled at the guy. They let me go

Without ID you wouldn’t be able to get on a flight here. And what you describe is actually standard procedure in Europe, especially if you fly long-haul. Within the EU they stick to frisking and checking your luggage bottom to top plus you’re not allowed to carry liquids over 100ml on you… it’s such a drag here!
