Namaste and Thoughts

I only recently found out what “Namaste” meant.  Oh I love it so much!  I’ve been using it and noticing there are so many that know it!  I feel like I stumbled on a new language.  Okay, old but new to me.

My other darling boy (*snicker*) is at the hotel again tonight waiting for the Military processing center and going to meet with a commanding officer I believe.  He’s behind in credits to graduate and they want to be sure he is very serious about joining and getting his credits in time.  Hey, fine by me!
My hubby is sound asleep.  His mouth hurts ’cause he just got on his bottom braces.  OUCH – sure looks like it hurts!  Poor thing.
Me?  I’m going through some sort of life change.  I’ll write on that later.  It’s an odd one to be sure and I’m really holding on to keep myself in balance.  I think it’s ’cause the kiddies are getting older and gonna fly out of the nest in the next few years (*no no no sooner*)  Sokay, no stress.  I’m workin on it all!

I’ll be to my friends’ blogs pretty quick.  I miss ya’ll so much!So I’ll leave you with this thought:

Things here are going *swell*.  Really good ~ my son, Stephen just started back to school.  It’s Stephen’s Junior year in high school (11th grade).  He made it to Varsity on the football team!  Oh I’m proud of him for trying out.  He’s getting outside of his comfort zone by attempting it this year.

A true friend laughs at your stories even when they’re not so good, and sympathizes with your troubles even when they’re not so bad

Friends are so so so important to our inner light.  Thank you all for being who you are even if we converse only through typed words.

Love and Beautiful Radiant Light,  ~Monica~

  • Hi Monica,

good to see you again and good to know all is going well with you and family! I love your new design, it suits so well with my morning read an my mug of coffee ;) I never read newspapers but yours is special special *grin* So nice to hear from you again!

Namaste is a beautiful Sanskrit word don’t you think? I really like the sound of it and also how it’s written [must be the designer's eye]. My friend -an initiated Lama- introduced me to it. It’s a beautiful way of showing respect…

Off-topic: I had problems with ISP of client so couldn’t move my design to his server which caused a slight delay for yours, sorry about this! I’m off to Scotland but will be starting yours next week and I’m really looking forward to this :)

    Hugs to you dear friend!

Good to be hear Tess! Glad you could associate with the paper, as I’m known to stick a ring or two of coffee imprints on my own!

No troubles, let me know when you want me to take a gander!

    HUGS!

  • I LOVE the meaning of "Namaste!" I find it hard to believe that it’s origins are so old, but Tess’s comment indicates that it is from the Sanskrit. Seems like such an advanced concept to come from so ancient a time!

I love it as well! Even saying it makes me feel so peaceful. It’s definately an old saying… Wikipedia has more information on it.

You know what’s funny? As much as I’ve been reading about the thoughts from the ancient times, the more I’m wondering if we aren’t going backwards in spiritual development? :) I know we aren’t… but things seemed so simple then!
