In my backyard I want to create a sanctuary, or meditation area. This is it, pretty blank – but because of that tree in particular, the energy there is really good!
I was thinking water, table… not sure what else. My friend is coming this weekend to assist.
Any ideas?

Hello Diva, I’m so glad I gave you some thoughts. I do truly believe we all need a *sacred* space (if you will). There are places inside of us that need serenity from time to time. The world around us can become so busy, it would be horrid to lose yourself in the hustle and bustle.
I’ve been asking many about this and have some very good ideas! This is one corner of our backyard, so there is plenty of room for everyone else.
This will be mine, and I will share with my hubby and my best friend. It’s my best friend who’s coming over this weekend to assist.
I’ll give updates as I go.
Remember that nature is wherever you are. All you have to do is *feel* for it.

Jean-Luc: Perfect! I’m looking into bamboo screens to attempt my seclusion. Those houses of my neighbors can look right over the fence. Not sure about what to put over it though. I am not going to get expensive I don’t think. Just kinda thrown together. I’m just hoping the elements will be nice.

I was about to say bamboo
but the actual plant, a pond/fountain [for frogs of course 
], some big rocks near the pond and one of those bamboo torches… that will make the Qi flow 
Is it possible to grow bamboo there? And do you have frogs?

Oh I love your idea! I have frogs, many many froggies luckilly… they kinda hide, but I hear them every night! Oh they’d LOVE a pond. Great ideas! I know I need water, that’s all part of the earth *feeling* I’m going for. And total bonus if my frog buddies are happy with it!
