My company email (domain) is being *spoofed* or whatever you wanna call it……. these spam dudes are using my domain name and sending out spam.  Therefore, my domain name this is for MY company is out there bouncing off of servers all over the place.

Not only that, I’m getting hits on this site with a referal location to purposely get you to click on some ad website.

I have put up with Spam (freedom of do whatever ya want) since the early pay as you go AOL days (I actually worked on AOL as a Chat Room Host – yeah yeah, I had free AOL whatever!).

Telemarketing phone calls (yes I’m on the blocked list), using MY valid paid for domain name to *spoof* out and send spam…

THAT IS IT! 

 

My Solution:

Because this is causing me heart ache, lost emails (’cause my email is getting stuck in my client’s spam folders now with a big [SPAM] comment on them….. I’m going to start sending invoices for $175.00 each infraction to the company that is SELLLING whatever it is they are peddling.

I’m going to set up a contract online here (watch me!) and it will be referred to the first time.  I will spend as much time as I can to sending out invoices to those that violate MY personal agreement.  

 

I understand the whole freedom to advertise……. I do…… but not freedom to bug the crud outta me.  This is 13 years or so of SPAMitus.

NOPE – the rate will be $500.00 per infraction because when a company reaches an owed amount of $10k I’m gonna find a lawyer that will actually drag this through the courts!

‘Tis not about money – but maybe that’s all they will listen to.

I’ve been SILENT too long!  This must end!

… Rant Over – I’ll step off my soap box and get that Invoice Template set up in my Financial Software …

Well hello there.  Holiday time, end of year, work, kids, families, gatherings, shopping, carpet cleaning (oy!) – it’s all happening around my home at this time.  I’m out there reading other’s blogs for inspiration ~ oh, and fun Meme’s!  Just ’cause I totally enjoy reading others’ stuff!

So – dearest Titania at Finding Life’s Enchantments has a Holiday Meme she put out there for folks to do if they would like.  I would like.    Mainly ’cause waiting on the carpet cleaning to be done is gonna take awhile and then I have to finish a project to send to my client tonight.  SO – here’s a meme for you from me with love.

1.  Wrapping Paper or Gift Bags?

Ruh Roh, here it goes – for Christmas it’s definately pretty wrapping paper, bows, little name doohikies.  I have a wrapping paper issue.  Ask my hubby.  We have TONS of rolls and well, I used to work for a Hallmark store and I was the one that always gift wrapped and so……. I’m kinda  perfectionist at wrapping.  Did I say I was good at it?!  Nope…. which means it takes me forever!  hee hee

Birthdays is a bag – cute ones, pretty ones… whatever.

 

 

 

2.  Real or Fake Tree?

Oh that would be fake.  Daniel likes the real ones but when we put up the one I have he liked it.  Phew. 

Trouble with the fake ones ~ no real tree smell.  SO I get out the candles that smell like tree.

3.  When do you put up the tree?

Oh, that’s easy…. when I feel like it.  I’m not scheduled.  This year ’cause of "Flood ‘O Ford Family" it’s not up yet ’cause we have carpet to take care of.    It will be up as we are having Xmas here at our house.

4.  When do you take the tree down?

Hmmm….. usually whatever weekend after Xmas.  UNLESS I’m not in the mood. 

5.  Do you like EggNog?

I’m so with Titania on this one…… BLECH!  As my kids say "It makes me hurl!"  Hee hee.

6.  Favorite Gift you Received as a Child

Dollhouse!  Oh it was really really neat!  But my brother broke it I think.  ::sigh:: kid brothers… LOL

8.  Hardest Person to Buy For?
Radio Controlled

That would be my husband who sees something he wants and buys it right then and there.  This year his Xmas gift is already purchased and in his hands ’cause I had him pick it out.  LOL

It’s a radio controlled airplane (goes 80 mph!) and a flight simulator software so he can practice and crash without killing the plane!  He’s still on the simulator mode right now. 

9.  Easiest person to buy for?

Oh that’s easy!  Me!  Oh, other than me?  Well, that would be my kids.  Only tough part is the $$$ to do all that shopping.

10.  Worst Xmas gift you have ever received?

There isn’t one.  I would like to add, that shopping and spending alot of money isn’t really what the holiday is for.  I wish I could get that across to people.  I’m good with handmade, or just something easy and simple.  Ya know?

11. Favorite Christmas Movie?

A Christmas Carol (1938).  Hands down.  There is a second favorite I must say though, closely tied with the first… that would be Scrooged!

13.  When do you start shopping for Christmas?

Oh I do that all year really.  When I find somethat that sticks out and screams someone’s name I grab it!  For those that I made something for this year, I have been working on it for months.  When I have time. 

14.  Have you ever recycled a Christmas present?

Oh nooooooo!  I can’t.  It’s not in my power Cap’n!

15.  Favorite thing to eat at Christmas?

Hmmmmm…..  I don’t know really.  When I have Christmas at my house I’m too nervous to eat.  Has to be the Sweet Potatoes covered in marshmellas.  hee hee

16.  Clear Lights or Colored on Tree?

Um, fake tree comes with white lights.  So, white!  I miss the multicolored ones though…

Neither….. I haven’t settled on a topper.  Last year I refused to put a top on.  LOL  This year, I want something made of glass.  Not a star or an angel.  My mom had this really neat glass thingymabob on top of hers before us kids broke it.  DOH!

21.  Open the gifts Xmas eve or Xmas Morning?

Both.  Multiple family get togethers.  But for the kids, theirs aren’t to be opened until Xmas morn OH and me and D do ours Xmas morn too.

Imagine my surprise Xmas morn 2005 when my honey gave me a small box while on his knee and proposed to me.  WOW!  Christmas mornings are good!

22.  Most annoying thing about this time of year?

The presssure!  Honestly, I’ve been saying we need to ditch Christmas and do an in between 12/25 and 1/1 get together.  I’m just losing the feel of Christmas ’cause of what’s expected.  I don’t like my family travelling on Xmas day to get to us, it makes me so nervous with everyone out there screaming out their cars windows…

I don’t know, have some folks just lost that lovin’ feeling? 

23.  What I love most about Christmas?

The memories we have, we make and will have with our family.

Sometimes you have to take a moment to acknowledge there even IS “this moment“.

I am finding that I’m creating time. "What does that mean?" you ask? Well… I keep saying and thinking over and over that “time is abundant and I have plenty of it”. Miracle is – it works.

Lately I’m finding that I can walk outside to the leftmost of my yard where my neighbor’s tree hangs over and examine the leaves. Really! I just look at the leaves and the life in the tree.

While I’m standing at the tree, I hear my buddy “Frog Dude” ribbiting at me. (yes, I really do believe the frog has taken a liking to me and is in his way conversing – sue me for loving reptiles. hee hee). Then I can hear the birds, and my gosh the area around me is so alive!

I’m not sure I really ever noticed.

As 2007 is winding down – I’m so looking forward to 2008.

I just want to take this moment to thank everyone that comes through to take the time to read my words on this plot of cyberspace. Thank you for making me feel special and interesting enough to take a moment to read or share in your life. I enjoy all of you as well.

Kooza arrived in San Francisco and we were sure to be there.  Tickets are ofcourse sold out throughout the shows from what I was told.   My husband is always one to be sure he is alerted when it’s coming our way so we had ours no troubles.

Have you ever seen a Cirque Du Soleil show?

I can sum it up in one word as corny as that sounds, I’m not joking:  WOW

“Wow” is what I always find myself repeatedly saying in those shows.  Would you like to have a glimpse?  You can check out the show at The Cirque Du Soleil Kooza site.

Let’s just say they keep you absolutely enthralled.  It is a circus of sorts, with the big top etc.  However, it is QUITE a different circus to be sure.  Oh, and the music is the kind that will take your heart and do with it as it pleases depending on the performance at the time.

They are travelling the US for a bit, and I’m sure they have outside venues as well out of the states.  It originates from Canada I do believe. 

Meanwhile, here’s a photo of our sons, my hubby and me.  (L-R James, Stephen, Daniel, Me, Daniel J).  The boys had a blast as well!

I’m a "Rent-A-Controller" as some would call it.  I own my own consulting company and assist small companies with their Accounting/Finance needs.  I also have other things I do as well.  I’ve been in the career for about 20 years I suppose.

This week I was reminded why I enjoy my clients.

Imagine this… I have a paper from a client with explicit instructions on what they want done with an expense and it effects some asset and liabilities (all good btw).  It was detailed instructions and I’m reading them and going over in my mind the correct way this should be done.  At the end of the page (it was handwritten on a piece of printer paper) it stated:  "After you are done with all of that, turn page over and follow instructions".  So, being the one to follow instructions, I turned it over after formulating what I needed to do with the topmost portion of the instructions.

Follow me here…. my mind is full of numbers, journal entries, expense accounts, effects to the balance sheet… etc. etc. etc. and on the back of the page is:
